Promoting Integrity at the Classroom Level:
Faculty Responsibilities
For members of the faculty to maintain classrooms of integrity, they must receive training and other types of support so that they are able to:
- model ethical behavior
- help students learn to become scholars
- plagiarize proof specific assignments
- structure exams to minimize opportunities to cheat
- develop positive relationships with students
- report behavior that is unethical or academically dishonest
- explain purpose of assignment
- be willing to modify assignments
- constantly self evaluate
- don't rush students
