Structure Exams
Some ideas to help prevent cheating during exams include:
- seat students alphabetically or do something else to change the standard seating arrangement.
- make sure you leaving space between students
- create multiple versions of the exams by having different questions or by arranging questions in a different order
- before the test begins, collect the blue books and then redistribute them to the students
- if a student arrives after the first exam has been submitted, do not allow the student to take the exam
- walk around while students are taking the exam
- do not leave the room during the exam
- have a clear and strict policy on academic integrity in your syllabus
