Promoting Integrity at the Classroom Level:
Faculty Responsibilities

For members of the faculty to maintain classrooms of integrity, they must receive training and other types of support so that they are able to:

  • model ethical behavior
  • help students learn to become scholars
  • plagiarize proof specific assignments
  • structure exams to minimize opportunities to cheat
  • develop positive relationships with students
  • report behavior that is unethical or academically dishonest
  • explain purpose of assignment
  • be willing to modify assignments
  • constantly self evaluate
  • don't rush students
