IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Modern Language Association updated their guidelines on April 1, 2016. We have not yet updated this section of Resources for Researchers to reflect these changes. We have ordered a copy of the new guidelines and will update as soon as possible.

Parts of a Citation:
Access Date

Unlike with books, articles, and other forms of print media, Internet sites can change after they are initially published. And the content you read on a web site might not be the content that another reader will find tomorrow--or even an hour from now. Therefore, you need to include the date you actually viewed the web site as part of your proper citation.
