The next step is to consider some of the roles you play in your life. Roles could include any of the following:
- Father/Mother
- Aunt/Uncle

Discussion of Process
Even though I just wrote down "teacher--Schoolcraft and others," there is a lot of information included in those four words. In addition to teaching at Schoolcraft College, I have also taught at Madonna University, Delta College, Kirtland Community College, and Michigan State University.
At the time I completed this exercise, I was coordinator of the Writing Fellows program and considered that part of my teaching. While at Schoolcraft College I have taught on-line courses, hybrid courses, traditional courses, and community education courses. Although I no longer hold this position, at the time I completed the star diagram, I was president of the Schoolcraft College Faculty Forum.
Reflection While Creating Diagram
My parents used to spend their Winters in Arizona. ("How is the American desert like the middle east?" comes to mind as a possible topic.) I have two brothers; one of whom is deceased. ("What are the differences between Christian and Islamic death rituals?")
