Research How a Story is Reported
Ask students to do research on how a contemporary issue is being reported on a variety of websites including misleading and highly partisan newsites.
Preparatory Activity
National Public Radio reporter Laura Sydell interview with Jestin Coler about his fake news media empire. The story was then picked up by Joel B. Pollak for Brietbart and Mark Sumner for the Daily Kos. Have students read the original NPR story as well as how the news was reported by Brietbart and the Daily Kos.
