Although a professors could just use the graphic for informational purposes, they could also ask students to check out how a specific story was reported by the various news sources.
The graphic might also serve as a discussion as to whether students agree or disagree with how the author of the graphic organized the continuum. Specific evidence would be required as part of the discussion.
