Core Skills Writing Rubric

The faculty members at Schoolcraft College have designed a rubric that can be used to evaluate writing at any level. This rubric establishes the quality standards for essays not only in this class but in other classes as well.

The quality standards you learn here will be used to evaluate your writing during the rest of the semester as well as in other classes at Schoolcraft College.

Learning the Quality Standards

Before you begin, you should download a copy of the Core Skills Writing Rubric.

Using the links to the right, you will be able to find my explanation of each of the quality standards found in the rubric. For each standard you will find:

  • A list of Internet sites you can use to get additional information about the standard.
